If you are an experienced Registered Nurse or Health Care Assistant, who is looking for an exciting opportunity to work a variety of hours and times that fit around your life, then we would love to hear from you.

Our entry requirements are -

RN's - A minimum of 2 years post registration experience; palliative or community nursing experience in addition would be a distinct advantage.

Care Assistants - Minimum of NVQ level 2 or with at least 1 years care experience. NVQ 3, palliative or community care experience a distinct advantage.

Health & Safety, Facilities Manager


Working 37.5 hours per week, the purpose of this role is to develop and implement health and safety best practice, ensuring the organisation complies with current health and safety legislation and approved codes of practice in relation to employment and service provision. You will take the lead in responsibility for establishing and maintaining safe systems of work and safe buildings and environment for staff and customers.

You will be responsible for the management of leases, contracts and lease renewals in relation to rented properties and coordinate building repairs, renewals, service contracts and to ensure the safety and security of all Martlets buildings and grounds.

We are looking for candidates with proven experience within a Health, Safety and Facilities role and are well educated. The successful candidate will have experience of managing teams and individuals as well as proven experience of writing and implementing policies and procedures with legal requirements and best practice.

Strong IT skills are required together with the ability to manage budgets and train staff as required. You should be a good influencer with strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Additionally, the ability to deliver training programmes and present information to staff groups, senior managers and the Board of Directors is required

The Martlets Hospice is now looking for enthusiastic door to door canvassers to help raise funds through recruiting new members to the Hospice’s Lottery.

Flexible hours, full time or part time available, attractive rates of pay, mileage allowance and commission. Working in pairs is also an option and retired or semi-retired applicants welcome.

Relief Van Driver


Working as part of the Trading Company, you will be required to assist in the collection and delivery of donated items to and from the general public, the shops and the warehouse.

Applicants should be 25yrs+ with a full clean driving licence. Experience of driving a large vehicle would be an advantage but not essential. The role will include the lifting and removal of heavy furniture.

Please note that this is a 0 hours contract. The nature of this role means that you may be called on at short notice to cover shifts and regular work cannot be guaranteed. You may be required to work at our site in Hove or Peacehaven, therefore flexibility is essential.

Registered Nurse

We are looking for  RGN’s to provide exceptional palliative care to
patients with life limiting conditions.

Working primarily on the In Patient Unit with the opportunity to work
in the Day Hospice and also within the community

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your experience working
in a supportive, palliative care setting.

Working 37.5 hours per week earning
£24,900 to £25,600 depending on experience.

 The Hospice offers excellent working conditions and benefits
including company pension or continuation of the NHS pension,
