2009/10 Educational Programme

We are delighted to present the new Martlets Hospice Palliative Care Education Programme for 2009/10. The new programme includes all aspects of end of life care. This year we have extended the Communication Skills and Dementia Care training. We aim to meet the educational needs of health and social care professionals working in a variety of different care settings. Therefore we hope that you will find something of interest that will support the development of your working practice.

In this year's programme there is a wide choice of sessions considering end of life care for people with cancer and other long-term conditions including: End Stage Heart Failure, Neurological and Respiratory Disease, Heart Failure and Dementia. These sessions are offered in a variety of formats ranging from short lunchtime sessions to a degree module. A variety of professionals from academic and clinical backgrounds teach on the programme.
