13th Martlets Golf Day scores a hole in one and raises over £8,000 for the Hospice
The 18 hole, 4 ball Stableford competition was held at the Dyke Golf Club this September, 27 teams took part this year and have raised over £8,300 for patient care at the Martlets.
Organiser Roger Clifton Moore would like to thank all those have supported this charity event through participating in one of the teams, by sponsoring a hole, by donating a financial contribution or a prize and by helping us on the day.
Antonia Shepherd, Events Manager at the Martlets said
“We had great weather for the event which is always so well organised by Roger – thank you to everyone involved in particular the team who organise the event every year, regular fundraising like this makes such a difference to the Martlets, we have to raise more than £11,000 a day to care for our patients so without support like this from the local community we simply wouldn’t be able to care for local people when they need us.”
