The next time you decide to empty your wardrobes, replace your furniture, or clear your shelves, please make sure you drop off your donations to one of our shops. The Martlets shops really do need your stock donations.

If it is a piece of furniture, an electrical appliance, or something that is too large to transport yourself, please get in touch as the Martlets team can pick up donations.

To arrange pick-ups, call the Hove Furniture Warehouse on 01273 721188 or if you live nearer Peacehaven, contact the Peacehaven Furniture Warehouse on 01273 588808.

You can give donations to any of our shops but we do ask that you give them in during shop opening hours – please do not leave them in the shop doorways.

Organise a Donate Day

Get your friends together – for a Donate Day.  Everyone has at least one piece of clothing, pair of shoes or bag they could donate to a good cause. Put all these donations together and you’ve got a big donation for the Martlets shops. We will come and collect your donation and can also help you with posters and other useful advice about how to organise a Donate Day – so please do get in touch.

Gift Aid on Donated Goods

We can now claim Gift Aid on your stock donations, if you are a tax payer make sure fill in a Gift Aid form when you make your donation. Alternatively you can print off the form and bring it with you when you drop off your items.

Electrical Items

We accept most electrical items and once it has been donated it will be tested before being sold in our shops. Please call us to check we accept your electrical goods.

Recycling

Did you know you donate your old mobile phones, stamps, medals and coins to the Martlets for recycling? Simply drop off any of these donations to one of our shops.

We are also looking for donations of broken jewellery and any gold or silver items – this can be a valuable source of income for the Hospice.

We can even make money from your rags - that’s anything material based you think we may not be to sell; in the last year we’ve made £40,000 from rags alone!
