Here’s some of the fantastic businesses that have made us their Charity of the Year and/or with whom we have a long term relationship:


Amplicon
Amplicon is a long time supporter of the Martlets Hospice and has adopted the Hospice as one of their charities to support for their 2015-2016 financial year. Team Amplicon has raised over £2,000 for our patient care by sponsoring the Martlets magazine, taking part in the Midnight Walk, making charity donations with sales orders and other fundraising activities.


Brighton & Hove Bus Company
As well as donating money from the sale of their vintage bus, the Bus Company also advertise the Martlets Lottery and legacy giving on their fleet of buses, helping to promote these 2 important fundraising initiatives to their customers and all in Brighton & Hove who see them.


Brighton & Hove Streamline Taxis
Streamline Taxis are long term supporters of Martlets and have raised over £17,000 for our patient care. This year they have raised over £5,000 via their annual Golf Day, coffee mornings and a collection at Brighton Racecourse. They also have our logo on one of their taxis.


Cellular Solutions
Staff at Cellular Solutions cycled from Paris to Orleans whilst other colleagues back at work cycled on static bikes in their office to raise over £27,000 for many local hospices, donating £3,707 to Martlets Hospice.


Cubitt & West
Cubitt & West branches across the local area are undertaking their 2nd year of fundraising for Martlets. So far they have raised over £3,500 mostly from participating in the Blenheim Triathlon and organising events in their branches including a Weakest Link quiz, cake sales and sweepstakes.


Genetic Testing Laboratories Inc (GTLDNA)
Genetic Testing Laboratories Inc (GTLDNA) have very kindly sponsored a glass brick in our Welcome Gallery at the entrance to the Hospice. Sponsorship of the glass bricks goes to fund our In-Patient Unit and that donated by GTLDNA will specifically pay for all the tasty meals that our patients will eat over the Christmas period. Thank you to all at GTLDNA for helping us to give our patients a very enjoyable Christmas.


GMS Group
The GMS Group has been very generous to Martlets by sponsoring the work of one of our counsellors over a number of years. The counsellor provides emotional support to families in crisis when someone close to them is dying. The support that the GMS Group provides funds over 350 counselling sessions to over 100 family members every year. Read more ...


Goodlaw Solicitors
Goodlaw Solicitors have adopted Martlets Hospice as their charity of support for 2014. As well as supporting our Make A Will Month, Senior Partner Warren Moore walked the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise vital funds.


Hotel Seattle
Hotel Seattle at Brighton Marina have adopted the Hospice as their charity of support for 2015. This is their first adoption of this kind and we are delighted that they chose Martlets Hospice as their very first charity to support on a long term basis. They will be undertaking fundraising throughout the year but it will start with their Head Chef, Mark Patterson, running the Brighton Half Marathon in support of our patients.


IEP Financial

Local Independent Financial Advisers, IEP Financial, have adopted the Hospice as their charity of support for 2015. Their biggest project is organising an 18th birthday ball at The Grand Hotel on October 30th where hundreds of people from the Brighton & Hove area and beyond will gather to celebrate 18 years of care being provided by the Hospice. The Ball will have a Halloween theme and tickets cost £65 each or a table of 10 for £650. For more information on the ball please contact [email protected] or call 01273 208813.

LA Law
LA Law are supporting the Hospice by organising a corporate 5-A-Side football tournament and have extended the invitation to all companies, big or small, in the Brighton & Hove area. The tournament will be taking place in the spring of 2016 but spaces are limited so get your name down quickly to avoid disappointment! Legal & General
The City Park, Hove offices have been supporting the Hospice for many years and during that time staff have raised an incredible £110,000. They have undertaken all manner of fundraising initiatives, much of which has been kindly matched by the company.


Leumi ABL Ltd
Since 2009, Leumi ABL have raised almost 40,000 via their annual golf day and all sorts of fundraising initiatives in their Brighton office. Leumi staff have also taken part in the Brighton Marathon and intrepid cycle rides across Europe.


Lloyds Banking Group
Lloyds Banking Group Have given all manner of support from volunteering in our warehouse, organising a black tie ball, supporting our Santa Bus with volunteers and matched funding and even taking over one of our charity shops for 2 days which throughout the year has raised an amazing amount of money for our patients.


LoveLocalJobs.com
LoveLocalJobs.com have chosen Martlets as their charity of support for this year and are promoting our staff and volunteering vacancies on their website. They are also helping in the promotion of our fundraising events and initiatives via their various networks which is a fantastic opportunity for us to spread the word across the local area and encourage more local people to support us.


Mayberry

Mayberry Garden Centre have been supporting the Hospice for 4 years and during that time have undertaken many collections and coffee morning which have raised over £2,600 for our patients. They are also a much valued member of our Garden Club.


Neilson Active Holidays
Martlets Hospice is one of Neilson’s chosen charities for 2014. Staff have raised money via a charity fundraising day, they have donated office furniture to be sold in the Hospice warehouse and the company makes a charity donation for each holiday sold throughout the year.


Royal Bank of Scotland
The staff at RBS, Preston Road, Brighton are now in their third year of raising funds. In the first 2 years they raised over £3,000 and some of the money raised has been kindly matched by the Bank. Staff have also volunteered at our warehouse helping raise further funds.

Southern Railway
Southern Railway have so far raised an amazing £13,000 with staff undertaking all manner of fundraising events. Staff cycled the length of the Southern Railway network on static bicycles and they even donated the old circular benches from Brighton Railway Station which raised £2,000 on Ebay.


Southern Water
Southern Water staff have held raffles, sweepstakes and dress down days to raise money for our patients and over the summer have had teams of staff volunteering in the Hospice gardens, helping to maintain an attractive outside environment for our patients and their visitors.


Woolley Bevis Diplock LLP
Woolley Bevis Diplock LLP with 2 offices in Brighton & Hove are supporting the Hospice during the 2015-16 financial year. They have started their support very energetically with some of the staff taking part in the Brighton Marathon 10k run and raising a magnificent £3,262 for our patients.
