14th October 2010 An 11 day moderate trek
Stretching 6000km in a dotted line across China, building on the Great Wall started in the 5th Century BC. As it snakes across the mountains it conjures up a sense of history which is difficult to grasp until you have had the opportunity to experience it. The trek passes through woodland and terraced farmland, following the contours of the beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. You'll trek alongside old sections of the Wall as well as the restored sections with smooth flagstones and lots of steps!
This challenge is physically demanding but you’ll enjoy some fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history.
To secure your place you’ll need to pay a deposit of £299, and then raise a minimum of £2,950 for the Hospice.
